Finally ..... what we have all been waiting for during the winter months -
Bowls Opening Day!!

Our Club Opening Day commenced with Club President Jeff Sheppard presenting a Certificate of Appreciation to our Patron and supporter Hon Jessica Stojkovski MLA.

We then proceeded to the green where Jessica put down the first bowl of the season. This was followed by the traditional 'spider' where a host of different tactics were employed to try and get a bowl closest to the spider. Jessica presented the prize to Neville Firkins who was judged to be closest.

The weather was beautiful for bowls and some excellent bowls were played. Competition on the green was followed by a lovely lunch and presentations to the place getters on the day.
